Naturals vs. Motorboaters
These two teams are tied for the last playoff spot. Winner will take a one game
lead with 2 games left. The loser will be down by 1 game with 2 to go.
Rangers vs. Mirimire
This is a 1st round playoff preview. As the of today, these two teams would
face each other in the first round. As of today the Rangers are holding onto
a slim 1 game lead over the Colt 45's. The Colt 45's hold the tie breakers
vs the Rangers so the Rangers can not end up in a tie or else they would lose
that last playoff spot.
Calif Angels vs. Rancheros
These teams are tied for the B West division lead. Obviously the winner would
take the division lead with only 2 games left. The winner will most likely go
on to be either the #1 or #2 seed division winner. The bonus is that the winner
would also get a 1st round bye. The loser would drop down into a tie the RC
Dodgers and Magueyes. One of these teams will not make the playoffs.
Bean Boys vs. Jurupa Expos
These teams are practically tied for the division title with the Tomahawks.
Since only 3 teams will make the playoffs this means that these teams can
not afford to lose. The Cerveseros and Bandits are only 1 game behind.
Even the Peloteros are lurking in the bushes with two tie games that
can push them into the playoff picture.
In the AA Division the Piratas de Sinaloa would take the division crown and the #1 seed. This would
give them a first round bye and a path straight to the finals. The Naturals would take the last playoff spot
over the Motorboaters because the Naturals won the season series. The Naturals would face Pacific Tires
in the 1st round.
In the A West Division Mirimire would win the division and have to face the Rangers in the first round.
They winner would face the Perros for all the marbles.
In A East Division the Perros would take the division and the top seed. With the top seed they also
get a 1st round bye and would wait for the winner of Mirimire and the Rangers.
The B West Division The Rancheros would take the division and the #1 overall seed. This would give
the Rancheros a first round bye. The Angels would take the #3 seed and would face the Expos. The RC Dodgers
would take the #4 seed. The Dodgers would face the #5 seeded Bean Boys.
In the B East Division the Tomahawks would take the division and the #2 seed. The Bean boys would
be the #5 seed and the Expos would end up as the #6 seed. The Tomahawks would face the winner of the #3
seeded Angels and the #6 seeded Expos.

Q1: Runner on 1st. Batter-runner gets into a rundown between home and 1st. The runner turns toward home and runs into the catcher.
What is your call?
Q2: Runner on 1st, 1 out. Runner is running on the pitch. The batter hits a ground ball back towards the pitcher. The pitcher
deflects the ball in the direction of the 2nd baseman. As the runner is running directly to 2nd base, he unintentionally bumps the 2nd
baseman, who is attempting to field the deflected ball. Your ruling?
Q3: Bases loaded, no out. A high pop-up into short right field. Second baseman and right fielder converge under the ball. The
right fielder calls off the second baseman and catches the ball. Your call?
As we navigate through the 2025 baseball season, it’s important for us to stay updated on the
latest changes and regulations that impact our game. One significant update was the decision to
ban all drop 5 bats. This decision has been followed by most leagues and almost all nearby
leagues. For those unfamiliar, the term "drop" in bat specifications refers to the difference
between the length and weight of the bat. A drop 5 bat, for example, is five ounces lighter
than its length in inches. There are many brands of -5 bats and I have even seen -10 bats
but all -5 and up bats regardless of the brand or model are now banned.
The problem
is when big powerful players swing drop 5 bats, the resulting force can be hazardous putting
pitchers and infielders are at a higher risk of injury due to the increased exit velocity of
balls hit with -5 bats.
We were one of the last leagues to allow -5 bats. In the
past we allowed only B division teams to use these bats because we felt the impact would be
very minimal. The time has now come to ban -5 bats in our league. By banning drop 5 bats and up,
we aim to reduce these risks and ensure a safer playing environment for everyone. Player safety
will always been a top priority. We fully support and join other leagues decisions to ban drop
5 bats in play.
