In the AA Division
The 1st two playoff teams have been set for a while but the last playoff spot was up for grabs.
The Motorboaters and Naturals needed a victory on the last day of the season but both team
were not able to get the big win. With both teams losing left the Motorboaters taking the
last playoff spot. The Motorboaters now will face Pacific Tires in the 1st round of the
playoffs. Pacific Tires took 2 out 3 games during the regular season but now these games
will count alot more.
In the A Division
A West
Mirimire clinched the division title and the #1 seed. Mirimire now get a 1st round bye and
wait for the winner of the Colt 45 and Perros 1st round matchup. These teams split the regular
season series 1-1-1.
A East
The Perros had clinched their playoff spot a while but they still were trying to get the 1st round
bye. They lost out the first round bye even though they forfeited the Rangers in the season finale.
The Perros will face the Colt 45's in the 1st round.
A Wild Card
The Wild card spot came down to the last game of the season. The Colt 45's finally subdued Teocal
in the season finale 18-10. The Colt 45's now face the Perros in the first round.
The B East Division
The Peloteros came out of nowhere and now have taken the division title. Somehow the Peloteros are now the #2
seed and will get a 1st round bye. The Tomahawks take the #5 seed with their victory Sunday. The Bean Boys
somehow ended up holding onto a playoff spot and enter as the last seed #6. The Bandits were left out because
of their poor run differential.
The B West Division
The Calif Angels defeated Deportivo Zamarillo to take the division and the #1 seed. The Rancheros
limp into the playoffs as the #3 seed even if they lost their last game vs. the Chapulines.
The RC Dodgers take the #4 seed over the Magueyes. Now the RC Dodgers still have a tie game
vs. the Chapulinos pending. That game will not be necesary because even if the Dodgers played that
game and lets say they lost. They would end up in a tie with the Magueyes. Both teams would
end with identical 7-5 records. The RC Dodgers would advance because they defeated the Magueyes
twice during the regular season.
Fatherhood is a journey of love, sacrifice, and commitment. It is about being present, not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. Fathers shape our values, influence our choices, and inspire us to strive for excellence. The legacy of a good father is evident in the character of his children, in the way they treat others. This Father's day, let us express our gratitude for the fathers and father figures in our lives. Let us acknowledge their sacrifices, appreciate their efforts, and celebrate their successes. Whether they are with us today or hold a cherished place in our memories, their influence remains a guiding light.
June 9, 2025
Our playoff picture is set. Every playoffs I put up what I think will happen. My predictions
are just that. What I think. I always have to say, don't nobody get their feelings hurt. What
matters is what happens on the field.
In the Top Bracket
The obvious favorite has to be the Piratas. They have led this division the entire season and
honestly they should win but...... I am going to go out on a limb and say Pacific Tires
find a way to get past the Motorboaters and then work some magic and defeat the Pirates.
In the Middle Bracket
This division has belong to Mirimire all season. Mirimire has split the season series with both the
Perros and the Colts. Mirimire beat up on the rest of the division going 7-1. The favorite has to
be Mirimire but to be honest all three teams look awfully similiar. I think these 3 teams are going
to have some epic battles but I have to assume that Mirimire some how comes out on top.
In the Bottom Bracket
We always seem to have some epic battles and our share of upsets in this division. I find this bracket
to be the toughest of the 3. With that said, I have to say this season the two top teams seemed destine
to meet in the finals. The interesting part of these match ups are that these teams have NOT faced each
other all season. Rancheros vs. Bean Boys and Tomahawks vs. RC Dodgers will get their first look at
each other in the playoffs. The Peloteros have beat up a few teams and look like a very strong offensive
team. The Angels look a little bit better rounded team. I can't wait.
This league has been around since 2008. I have been around beer leagues my whole life. One of my biggest
compliant I always hear was the dreaded ringers. Every league has had issues with ringers. Most leagues
don't do shit about ringers and just hope players don't want to talk about ringers. This is where the idea of league
rosters come from. I try to make the process of team rosters easy. Lets face it, all I need from each
team is a list of your players and a one time pic of each player. That's it. I don't really think that's
very tough. It would take maybe 5 mins? Now I understand there are some teams that don't care about
rosters and just want to play. Again I'm good with that but those same teams can't complain later about
not only losing a game but also not playing that game because they didn't follow league rules.
I bring all of this up, because yesterday I had two games that where decided because of roster
issues. Both teams have been with me for more than a few seasons. One of these teams has never ever turned in
a roster. To be honest this team in particular is not a very good team. Most opponents don't care and
won't call them on it. So this team has had the good fortune of never being called out because of
their lack of roster. Well that ended Sunday. What I don't understand is the Manager knows damn well you don't
have a roster and you are willing to lose a game that way. So now your mad? I would understand if you
are new to our league and were not aware of the league rules but you know damn well that's not the case.
Again I understand not be pleased if my team lost a game because of a roster issue. I wait all week
to play and drive over and get to the field and now no game because my manager didn't submit a roster?
But to get mad at any other person including the other team?? That I don't get. They only one person
that you need to address is your Manager.
Another part I don't understand is, OK you lost
because your Manager fucked up and now you start calling the other team "pussies", "You guys are afraid",
or my favorite "I will kick your ass". Really??? I'm telling you. I think this is the most bullshit thing I have
ever heard of. People need to take responsibility for their actions and not blame others.
As we navigate through the 2025 baseball season, it’s important for us to stay updated on the
latest changes and regulations that impact our game. One significant update was the decision to
ban all drop 5 bats. This decision has been followed by most leagues and almost all nearby
leagues. For those unfamiliar, the term "drop" in bat specifications refers to the difference
between the length and weight of the bat. A drop 5 bat, for example, is five ounces lighter
than its length in inches. There are many brands of -5 bats and I have even seen -10 bats
but all -5 and up bats regardless of the brand or model are now banned.
The problem
is when big powerful players swing drop 5 bats, the resulting force can be hazardous putting
pitchers and infielders are at a higher risk of injury due to the increased exit velocity of
balls hit with -5 bats.
We were one of the last leagues to allow -5 bats. In the
past we allowed only B division teams to use these bats because we felt the impact would be
very minimal. The time has now come to ban -5 bats in our league. By banning drop 5 bats and up,
we aim to reduce these risks and ensure a safer playing environment for everyone. Player safety
will always been a top priority. We fully support and join other leagues decisions to ban drop
5 bats in play.
