In a surprise, Pacific Tire mercied the Piratas in the finals. Pacific Tire came out hot. They scored
often and early. Robbie Orneleas went 2-3 with 3 rbi's. The star of the day was Pacific Tire pitcher
EJ Felix throwing a Complete game with 9k's in 6 innings. Pacific Tires threw back to back shutouts
in the playoffs.

Our playoff picture is set. Every playoffs I put up what I think will happen. My predictions
are just that. What I think. I always have to say, don't nobody get their feelings hurt. What
matters is what happens on the field.
In the Top Bracket
The obvious favorite has to be the Piratas. They have led this division the entire season and
honestly they should win but...... I am going to go out on a limb and say Pacific Tires
find a way to get past the Motorboaters and then work some magic and defeat the Pirates.
UPDATE:
Pacific Tires defeated the Motorboaters 11-0. I was right.
UPDATE:
I didn't see this coming. Pacific Tires came out swinging. They defeated the Piratas as I
had predicated. I was right.
In the Middle Bracket
This division has belong to Mirimire all season. Mirimire has split the season series with both the
Perros and the Colts. Mirimire beat up on the rest of the division going 7-1. The favorite has to
be Mirimire but to be honest all three teams look awfully similiar. I think these 3 teams are going
to have some epic battles but I have to assume that Mirimire some how comes out on top.
UPDATE:
The Colt 45's defeated the Perros to advance to the finals vs. Mirimire. So far so good.
UPDATE:
The Colt 45's battled and defeated Mirimire. I was wrong on this pick.
In the Bottom Bracket
We always seem to have some epic battles in the lower brackets and our share of many upsets. I find this bracket
to be the toughest of the 3 to predict. With that said, I have to say this season the two top teams seemed destined
to meet in the finals. The interesting part of these match ups are that these teams have NOT faced each
other all season. Rancheros vs. Bean Boys and Tomahawks vs. RC Dodgers will get their first look at
each other in the playoffs. The Peloteros have beat up a few teams and look like a very strong offensive
team. The Angels look a little bit better rounded team. I can't wait.
UPDATE:
I had the Rancheros to advance and they did. Not by much but they advance. So I was right.
In the other bracket we had the Tomahawks destroy the RC Dodgers and again. I was right. So far.
UPDATE:
The two top pics advanced as predicted. I was right on the two finalist.
I had Mirimire winning it all but I guess the Colt 45's didn't get the message. While Mirimire kept making silly errors, the Colts just kept pushing. The Colts built an early 7-0 lead but Mirimire made a late run. They score 9 runs in two innings to closed the lead to 12-9 going into the 9th. The Mirmire defense again just failed them. In all my life of playing baseball I have never seen 6 routine errors by outfielders. I am talking routine flyballs that just kept dropping and the Colts used them to secure the big win. A shout out to Colt 45 pitcher Nathan Villegas who pitched a strong 8 innings. He held Mirimire for most of the game. Nathan helped himself with his bat too, hitting two home runs to lead the Colt offense.
Our first league meeting will be on Tuesday July 8th. Our new season is set to start on Sunday July 13.
Any team interested to join us for the Summer season MUST ATTEND to ensure the secure a spot. As always we will
have limited on space. I am thinking I can run with about 26 teams. I think as of right now I have like 35 teams
interested.
Existing teams that no longer wish to be a part of our Summer season, please let me now asap.
This will give other teams a chance to join us. Teams interested in joining us MUST ATTEND our Tuesday Meeting. As always
we will go with first to pay, first to play. Don't get shutout.
Our playoffs start this Sunday. For the teams that this is there first time, there
are a few rules that differ from our regular season.
Playoff games have a 3 hour 45 min time limit. No new inning is to start with less
than 9 mins left.
Teams will continue to play until there is a winner. No ties.
The Mercy rule is in effect for all playoff games.
Playoff umpire fees are $90 per team regardless of the number of umpires present.
Teams are responsible for providing official league stamped baseballs for each
playoff game or be fined.
Playoff games DO NOT HAVE ANY GRACE PERIOD to start the game. No 15 minute grace.
Teams must have 9 available players at the official start time or lose the game.
Unless otherwise noted, home teams are decided by the higher seed.
Only players listed on the team rosters and that have a PICTURE in order to be
playoff eligible.
Players on the roster but with identical jersey and unique number are to be called out
every at bat. No sharing jerseys is allowed.
As we navigate through the 2025 baseball season, it’s important for us to stay updated on the
latest changes and regulations that impact our game. One significant update was the decision to
ban all drop 5 bats. This decision has been followed by most leagues and almost all nearby
leagues. For those unfamiliar, the term "drop" in bat specifications refers to the difference
between the length and weight of the bat. A drop 5 bat, for example, is five ounces lighter
than its length in inches. There are many brands of -5 bats and I have even seen -10 bats
but all -5 and up bats regardless of the brand or model are now banned.
The problem
is when big powerful players swing drop 5 bats, the resulting force can be hazardous putting
pitchers and infielders are at a higher risk of injury due to the increased exit velocity of
balls hit with -5 bats.
We were one of the last leagues to allow -5 bats. In the
past we allowed only B division teams to use these bats because we felt the impact would be
very minimal but the time has now come to ban al -5 bats in our league. By banning drop 5 bats and up,
we aim to reduce these risks and ensure a safer playing environment for everyone. Player safety
will always been a top priority. We fully support and join other leagues decisions to ban drop
5 bats in play.
I know we take a chance everytime we play on Sunday. I've seen some pretty bad injuries but the injury Cesar suffer is unbelieveable. The GoFundme account is still trying to collect funds. I beg everyone that can help to help. Whatever you can donate would help. The league will be sending our sympathy and a donation next week. Please join me and donate. Click here to help.
